Logistics Analyst III (Huntsville, AL)
The Logistics Analyst III serves as the Lead for the Logistics Analysis section. This individual oversees supply chain operations, analyzes data to optimize efficiency, and develops strategies to reduce costs while ensuring timely delivery of goods. This role often involves assessing carrier performance, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline transportation, warehousing, and inventory management processes. Key responsibilities include monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying bottlenecks, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. This individual may also mentor junior staff, manage complex shipments, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Essential Duties, Skills and Responsibilities
• Serve as the lead for logistics process analysis
• Ensure successful task execution of logistics analytics requirements
• Liaison with key Government and corporate personnel
• Evaluate and assess the strengths and weaknesses of various programs/activities
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve logistics exceptions
• Maintain inventory accuracy
• Monitor projects to ensure goals are met
• Schedule and manage tasks effectively
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational and multitasking skills
Minimum Qualifications
• Over 5 years of Army logistics experience
• GCSS-Army and Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) experience
• Bachelors in Supply Chain management, Business, or a related field
• Secret Clearance required
• Demonstrated experience in Army supply and transportation procedures
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain installation access.
• U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior U.S. Army logistics analytics experience
• Expertise in Supply chain analysis
• Experience with multiple Army STAMIS to include GCSS-A and Vantage
• Demonstrated experience with MS Office products including Power BI and Power Automate
• Previous leadership experience
Security / Compliance Requirements
• Secret Clearance required
• Must comply with all installation access requirements.
• Must complete all required Government training.
